Inspired by others at Kelli's Show and Tell Friday I am sharing a piece of embroidery I did many years ago and also a piece of my life. This is the only piece I have done and long to do another one. Just haven't found the right piece or the time. I enjoyed doing the different stitches like the ones that make the curls in "Mama's" hair.
I loved spending time with my children when they were young. I have wonderful memories of playing games, getting snuggles, baking cookies, reading books, playing hide and seek and having them share their hearts at bedtime.
Sometimes the most important piece is the one that speaks to our heart. So wonderful you have the memories of spending time with your young children. I treasure my memories as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet cross-stitch and wonderful memories, too!

I've always loved this verse and agree with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI once did crewel embroidery. Kits and patterns are hard to find now. I finally switched to cross stitch. I hope you do find time to create something else you love as much.

I've always loved this little saying. One of my NJ friends did it in cross-stitch for me when my last child was born. I tried embroidery one time, but I didn't make it very far. I think I need the limits that cross-stitching imposes on me with the little squares. I would actually have to have someone 'teach' me embroidery, and I haven't met anyone yet. Maybe someday...
ReplyDeleteLovely piece.
That is a neat piece of needlework and the verse is so true.
